I've experienced some booting and other issues recently, without going into specifics. One issue is that msconfig isn't restoring the original boot settings. I've searched many online solutions but haven't found a fix. Curious why the media is protected, though... The OS version is 11 22H2, yet updates are causing serious problems. I've tried almost everything, but at least Windows seems to work now.

Already encountered the issue with diskpart, unlocking the EFI partition. Now it displays:

I managed to resolve the issue using DiskPart, Bootrec, BCDBoot and Bootsect. Remaining problems still exist, but this matter is now fixed. The approach I took was assigning the correct ID to the EFI partition. In DiskPart: choose the volume (appropriate number) and then "set id=c12a7328-f81f-11d2-ba4b-00a0c93ec93b"
