I stopped caring about a 4790k and a 1080ti which are seen as heavy setups. Just a 6-core CPU and a GPU from two years ago. Honestly, even though they say it runs at 144fps in CS:GO, it’s not great.

Maybe it's not the 4790k anymore; most games today aren't super CPU-heavy. A 1080 Ti is still a high-end GPU, and you're unlikely to be stuck at 144Hz in CS:GO with that rig. An 1060 should likely handle 300 FPS smoothly.

You're talking about 144Hz or higher, right? Most games nowadays use more than four cores, so extra threads won't help much. As someone using a 3060 Ti, it's pretty much in the mid-range now, lol. I just enjoy knitting pick.

It's worth noting that 3060s aren't available for purchase yet, while a 2070 model will cost around $500. That still makes it a top-tier GPU.

I canceled the game last night since it wasn't playable for me. I'll check again soon to see if it gets fixed.
