Configuration adjusted correctly, but connection remains blocked beyond your local network.
Hey everyone. My Mac Pro is running Ubuntu Server and I host a small Minecraft server for myself and a few friends. Everything has been smooth until last night when the power went out because of heavy rain. Server is still working fine so far. The local IP changed after I stopped reserving it, so I tried connecting via SSH using the new IP (192.168.0.18). It worked perfectly. But when I switched port forwarding to 192.168.0.13 instead of 192.168.0.18, I couldn't reach it from outside my network using my public IP. I turned off UFW and tried DHCP reservation to lock in 192.168.0.18 for my device's MAC address. That seems to be working now—SSH into the server with a local IP and play is fine. Still, after adjusting port forwarding back to 192.168.0.18, I can't connect from outside either. Any clues on what’s going wrong? Thanks!
Your public IP address remains the same. The MC server port was not manually set; it stayed consistent during the reboot.
It's worth noting that the links to both SSH and the MC server consistently fail to connect, they never get rejected.
