Hello everyone, recently purchased a brand new 5080 and have encountered some unusual problems. I ran DDU and reinstalled the display drivers, but a strange pop-up appeared displaying "Nvidia Confidential" followed by several letters and numbers. I don’t understand why this happened or how it occurred, as it hasn’t appeared before. Any suggestions would be helpful.

The 580.88 figures following Nvidia's confidential release are likely the driver version number (launched on July 31, 2025). The remaining details remain unclear. Regarding the appearance, this was my first time noticing such a pattern—possibly a glitch. Also, the message in your image seems highly artificial. The top of the text appears straight while the monitor edge is tilted.

DDU again, but have this pre-downloaded before you go to safe mode. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/252607/ Disconnect from your network either before (if wired) or immediately after logging back in (wifi) so Windows doesn't install a generic driver. Install the driver package you pre-downloaded. Googling your problem, in every instance it was the wrong driver people had installed.
