Woke up when the computer screen turned on late last night. Noticed someone browsing to access c0inbase and make purchases in Chrome (win11 desktop).
Luckily, I connected the networking cable within a few minutes after they logged in.
Could there be a method to identify how this program was installed? Where are the installation files located and which program started it? Are there any log files available for review? I’m trying to understand how I ended up with this software and its origin.
Is there a way to block this program in the Windows Defender firewall to stop future access?
Windows Defender didn’t show any alerts.
I want to ensure this machine and others on my home network aren’t infected.
Changed several of my sensitive passwords and haven’t received any unexpected emails from my Google and Comcast accounts.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

You noticed another person managing your screen and browsing?
Halt.
Separate the device from all wireless or Ethernet connections.
Perform a complete reset and reinstall.

Did AnyDesk ever come into your setup before?

Yes. A person had remote access until I cut the Ethernet cable.
