One key factor that encouraged my support for SC was their assurance of powerful modding tools and features they claimed for the game. Later, when I had a creative concept for a story in my writing class, the world I imagined was intriguing despite its flaws, especially because it featured a devastated planet with mutated beings—elves, centaurs, werewolves, wizards, etc.—blending fantasy and advanced technology. This setting could represent an unknown realm for humanity, combining magic and cutting-edge tech. Do you understand what I meant? Would you consider downloading it if it were a mod for Squadron 42?

It depends. I think it's possible, though I'm not sure yet. Just keep exploring your own ideas.

I wouldn't be very interested in this since I don't like mythical stuff. But to him, it was his own.

It seems you're asking if it's a complete overhaul or if you're envisioning magical elements like flying auroras and magic carpets. From how it sounds, this could be a major expansion for your first mod!

Sorry if my initial idea seemed too grand. It wouldn’t just be a handful of beings, a unique magic framework, and some relics. The main challenge would be building a believable magic system—swapping weapons for tools, replacing particle effects with more magical actions, and handling recoil through something akin to spellcasting. No narrative beyond brief scrolls, just practical tweaks.

I’ve helped with many personal mods for Elder Scrolls and other projects, but this feels more like a vision than a real plan. Thanks for considering my thoughts!

Recoil is simply the movement of a hand. It’s achievable but not the most challenging mod to create—it just doesn’t align with the game. Right now, I’m considering skinning several ships casually until new mods are added.

I really hope they launch features that let us edit quickly. At the very least, the updated cry-engine editor they employ should be available.

It seems the mod support is expected to be unavailable until just before the game launch.
