Computer turning off after short periods
Computer turning off after short periods
A few months ago I purchased a new motherboard and two Samsung SSDs for my X570s Edge Max Wi-Fi, a 1TB 970 and a 2TB 980 Pro. Recently, I’ve encountered problems that are hard to solve. My computer shuts off after just a few minutes whenever I power it on. I replaced all components with spares—motherboard, RAM, CPU, GPU—and still faced the same issue. The only difference is my motherboard, which displays a blue screen stating it’s missing winload.efi, while the other one allows login but then restarts repeatedly. Do you know what might be causing this?
You must keep an eye on temperatures until they crash, use tools like MEMTEST86 to detect memory issues, consider fixing or reinstalling Windows, verify if the power supply is malfunctioning, ensure the motherboard BIOS is current, and so on. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting all parts and software, reach out to a nearby service center for diagnosis.
And I will include the recommendation to check Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for any error codes, warnings, or informative events that happen right before or during the shutdowns.
