I don't know for sure if this was the cause, but I cleaned my desk and since my computer's speakers made a loud noise when they're on and the DSL modem connects, it stopped. The noise also stops when I unplug the modem or turn off the speakers. My head has been hurting whenever the modem is active. Before that, WiFi was off. What might be happening and how can I fix it?

ensure cables remain separate and avoid vibrations from the modem impacting speaker balance. additionally, consider relocating the modem to a different area away from the speakers.

Create and model of modem?

Model and make of router (if the current modem isn't a modem/router)?

Type of speakers and connection method?

What does "and my DSL modem connects" refer to?

Usually, modems stay active 24 hours. Is there any way to shut them down?
During cleaning, were any devices unplugged and then reattached?
Are all connections—power, network, video, audio, USB—fully and securely in place?
Is there any power strip or surge protector being used?
