I was in Warframe when my computer froze completely. There was nothing to show. I tried unplugging it and waiting a bit, then powering it back on. It didn’t move at all—just silence and the usual case button click. No lights, nothing. Could be a hardware issue or a software glitch. You have a Corsair RM 850X, Intel i7 9700K, RTX 3080, 64GB DDR4, and MSI Z390.
This suggests your power supply unit is almost certainly failed.
unfortunately the rm850x tends to have some issues with overheating, it was one of the poorest PSUs Corsair ever released. i had two units within less than two years while running amd 1600x and gtx1060; when i opened the last one, a cap failed. i still had a photo of it, and i was surprised by how much damage it caused—even without a 400-watt load on the whole PSU.
Psu is functioning well, I've confirmed it and the fan operates correctly.
The fan could still be operating, yet the internal components may be compromised.
