Computer restarting but failing to identify the SSD?
I recently upgraded my computer by replacing nearly all its components. My current setup includes:
- Asus Tuf Gaming x570-Plus WiFi motherboard
- Ryzen 5 5500 processor
- Radeon RX 580 8gb graphics card
- OLOy DDR4 4x16gb memory
- Samsung 990 Pro m.2 SSD (2TB)
- WD Black 1TB SN770 SSD
- Segotep 750w power supply
- Old ATX case
- Old Creative XFi Titanium sound card
- Sata dvd RW drive
- 5.25” bay multi card reader, USB, audio, etc.
- Windows 11 Pro (installed on a 500gb partition of the Samsung drive)
Since installing the Samsung 990, the computer occasionally flashes a brief BSOD and then restarts. After rebooting, it fails to recognize the new SSD. I’ve updated the BIOS and firmware for both the SSDs, but the issue persists. I’ve tried rearranging the M.2 slots and replacing the SSD, yet it keeps happening. Could there be an incompatibility or a faulty motherboard?
