i had this issue quite a few times actually, not sure if my "fix" is a solution but give it a shot? one time i pulled the plug from the psu and let the pc sit for a few days, then weeks cause i forgot about it - figured it was DOA. then one day i plugged her back in and all worked fine, huh? lately i realized it was due to a 45 degree 24 pin mobo thing off amazon. took it out and a bunch of pins were all jacked up so i took needle nose pliers and fixed it. basically the problem i had was crap power to my 24 pin cause of a cheap adapter just throwing out ideas, maybe itll help cause i didnt figure that was the problem so i didnt mention it in threads/crys for help. hopefully its just a simple fix like that in your situation? curious to find out what the solution is!

Drive capacity is 32GB with a Fat32 file system. I didn't verify it outside the case beforehand (I'll make sure to do that next time).

I format my drive as exFAT just in case. Then I chose one of the USB sticks with 16GB capacity since I have around 100 devices. Now I mainly use it for saving BIOS settings (based on stable overclock results) and flashing updates.

Confirming the 24-pin cord. Appreciate your input, I'll review it soon.

Some systems avoid this on partitioned drives even when other areas remain unused.

It seems the connector is lacking a pin, or at least I have one.

I checked another of my computers and it looks like it's missing too. I also found out that this is common these days, and it was likely removed a long time ago because it wasn't needed for modern systems.

it was the pin right next to the missing one. That was quite enjoyable to fix. I’m just checking my cable to give you a better idea, but I’m worried that removing it could make getting back to normal work very difficult. Looking at my adapter, it also lacks that part. I wonder why? The motherboard has a female connector there as well. Maybe it’s outdated, or perhaps it serves a purpose beyond just looks—something I can’t imagine.

That's what I assumed as well, but the details of your pins were different.
