I assembled my PC around 2015 for roughly $700, yet it’s still functioning fine over the past four years. However, with an ASRock B85M-ITX board, it won’t boot past the logo screen. I checked the BIOS and then left, but now it’s completely unresponsive. After reseating everything and changing the UEFI defaults to disable CPU throttling, it still freezes no matter what. I’ve reset the defaults multiple times, unplugged and replugged, cleared CMOS, and even tried booting from the boot manager, but nothing works. It seems there might be an issue with the motherboard or a persistent hardware fault. If this continues, replacing the motherboard might be the best option.

The bright side is that it tends to stay that way. Even if things pick up again, a new setup will likely be needed.
