Hey there! Over the last month, my computer has been having some strange malfunctions that I haven't seen before. I've tried fixing it for a while, but it keeps happening and I'm concerned about possible damage. Let's go through what's been happening step by step.

Recently, during a Discord session with two friends, we've been playing Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six | Siege for about five hours. Suddenly, my controller stopped responding to inputs, yet I could still see and hear the game on my other screen. My friends asked if they were having issues too, but Discord didn't register any input from my mic. My keyboard and mouse worked fine, so I was able to switch tabs easily.

However, the RGB lights on my peripherals stopped cycling quickly, almost as if someone had paused them. I tried pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del to open Task Manager, but nothing changed. The game and Discord audio disappeared, and even the taskbar froze. While I could still move around in the game, everything else just stopped.

After a while, the game and sound cut out completely, and all my tabs froze. I waited a few minutes hoping it would fix itself, but nothing happened. Eventually, I had to turn off the PC by pressing the power button repeatedly until it shut down.

This pattern keeps repeating whenever a crash happens. Before, I thought Shadowplay from Nvidia might be the culprit, so I turned it off and tried recording with another program. That seemed to work for a while—several days without another crash. But today was different. I was just browsing YouTube for a bit when another issue popped up. No games, no recordings, nothing running except basic tasks. The PC had been on for about an hour and a half, not doing anything heavy.

I'm really puzzled because this is the first time it's happened and I've never found any information online. I've checked my drivers, updated Windows, and reinstalled Razer Synapse, but nothing seems to be working. My knowledge in this area is limited, so I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Remove all components and test the system using one stick at a time. Check stability in each setup.

Did you know your device is a Razer product? I've heard the Razer Cortex software might cause issues with AMD hardware.

Most of my devices come from Razer, but I only have Synapse enabled, not Cortex. I'm excited to experiment with it!

If no update is available for synapse, consider removing it and restarting it. This can be a helpful solution.
