Computer crashing unexpectedly during gameplay
The title clearly conveys the situation. I was testing a game and my computer suddenly stopped working, and since then it keeps failing whenever I attempt to play another game.
Core i7 9700F, Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi Board, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Eagle OC LHR 12GB, 4x Kingston Fury Beast 8gb 3200MHz CL16 DDR4, Samsung 860 EVO M.2 SATA SSD 500GB, Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM008 3.5in Drive, Kingston - NV2 M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB, Thermaltake Toughpower Gold 750W Power Supply. I plan to try reinstalling an older Nvidia driver version to check if it resolves the problem.
Use DDU to clear any remaining traces if there is a GPU driver issue. Make sure to install the newest available driver. If the problem continues, it may indicate a failing GPU. You might want to try Afterburner to reduce GPU clock speeds and check for stability.
Temps have been fine
I don't have another PSU and I only bought this one within the last 2 years so I hope it's not a power issue
Don't have another system to test the GPU on
Am doing the others once the memory test is over
Reinstalled drivers and performed a memory test. Results showed everything normal. Played a game for about an hour, then it froze, screen went dark, followed by audio issues that required restarting. After logging in, I searched for the dmp but it crashed again before I could reload. Left it for a while, returned later and successfully uploaded it to Google Drive. Hopefully this can be fixed without any cost.
