Hi, a few weeks back I was placed in my side panel and when I connected it to the computer it just shut down and couldn't start the backup. Later I handed my mom's boyfriend my PC, and he took it to work, saying the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and GPU were all dead. What might have caused this damage?

It seems there might have been several problems, but the main concern is likely a power surge that the PSU wasn’t designed to handle. Have you experienced frequent power disruptions in your area? Issues like flickering lights or complete outages are common. Of course, I don’t know what tests were done or how the problem started—placing a new power supply could definitely be the cause.
