I purchased some fresh components for a new build: ROG Strix Z690-F gaming Wi-Fi Trident Z5 F5-6000J3636F16GA2-TZ5RK, Intel i9 12900k, RTX 3070 Ti, Sabrent Rocket 4, plus 2x Corsair RM850X. I updated the BIOS, connected the monitor, and powered it on. Only the post and DRAM lights remained lit—no issues detected so far. Removed the GPU to test integrated graphics, but the problem persisted. Verified all connections were secure. Still no resolution. Might need to replace the RAM; it could be faulty. I tried Corsair Platinum DDR5 32GB CMT32GX5M2X6000C36 and restarted. The issue remains. For safety, I plan to swap out the CPU and motherboard (upgrade opportunity!). Installed new Intel i9 13900k, updated BIOS, but it’s still showing the same lights. I’m stuck—any advice?

You seem to have issues either with the hardware or the setup. Did you forget to install or configure something? Have you tried resetting the BIOS on each try? Also, tested booting with just one RAM stick across all slots until it functions?

I verified the power supply, everything was connected correctly, I reset the BIOS each time, but nothing worked. Adding one RAM stick didn’t help, and using four different DDR5 modules in each slot definitely caused issues.

But that makes no sense you've already swapped all parts !! Can you post pics on your PC/board when booting ? There may be some stupid build mistake ...

right! that's what I thought. Anyhow it just started working. not even shitting you, i smacked the case and said "work yah bastard" and the dram light went off and it posted for the first time. lmao is all i can think. i reckon your words of wisdom had something to do with it PDifolco. So thanks for your kind help.

I confirmed both RAM sticks are functioning in the third slot. This is my second motherboard, so it’s unlikely the issue is with the RAM itself. What other factors might be causing the problem?
