I work with computers and I’m struggling to understand this problem. Sometimes it happens once a month or once a year, and my system just stops working. It depends on what I’m doing—whether I’m just browsing YouTube, playing Cyberpunk 2077, or running Minecraft without an RTX graphics card. The issue appears to reset itself after turning back on.

Here are my specs: ASRock B550M Pro4 Steel 4x8 with 32GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB, Gigabyte Eagle OC 3070, Azza Hive 2x 1TB M.2, a 500GB WD Blue SSD, a 1TB Toshiba HDD Coolermaster 1000W (gold rated), an Acer CPU at 165Hz, a 17-inch 3x120mm RGB intake, a 120mm RGB exhaust, and a stock cooler for the CPU. I used an EVGA 850W gold-rated PSU before, but now I have a newer one.

The problem keeps coming up even though I changed my RAM, which seemed to fix it temporarily. Now it’s happening again. I think the memory modules on my ASRock motherboards aren’t the cause—they’re fine, but ASUS and Gigabyte seem more reliable. What do you all think? I’m open to suggestions except deleting Sys32. It seems your memory performance is poor, especially with 4x8 or high speeds. The fix with a RAM swap didn’t help and it’s back down again.

4x8 is a really bad setup that causes a lot of stress and limits performance. It seems odd to use it on such an old board, so I think the hardware might be faulty. I’d recommend switching to a better board like B550A Pro, Tomahawk, Steel Legend, Extreme4, PG Velocita, etc.

4x8 is a really bad setup that causes a lot of stress and limits performance. It seems odd to use it on such an old board, so I think the hardware might be faulty. I’d recommend switching to a better board like B550A Pro, Tomahawk, Steel Legend, Extreme4, PG Velocita, etc.

I found out my system has a low-end board. The RAM channels can’t run all of them at 3200MHz, and my RAM is stuck at 2133. I didn’t realize it until I checked the BIOS settings. After resetting the CMOS battery, Windows returned to 2133. I’m getting a new ASUS gaming MOBO soon, thanks for your help. I’ll let you know if it works or if I switch to Steam Deck.

The issue lies with the MC in the CPU, not the motherboard. Could you provide the exact part number and version of the Corsair RAM you're using?

I managed to reach 2933 and it works fine. Running at 3200 would be great but the change is minimal—just a few frames. I’m probably settling for a new MOBO since my current one is the least powerful in my build. Thanks again for your advice. I plan to remove the RAM this weekend and share the part numbers then. I have a box and one of the part numbers is CMW16GGX4M2C3200C16.
