I checked the BIOS recently to turn on XMP. Everything looked normal at first. After clicking the OC Tweaker, the system froze. Moving to another section also caused a freeze. The PC runs fine, but XMP isn’t working. Should I reset the CMOS?

Update plans should include refreshing bios. Ensure all defaults are enabled and CMOS is reset both before and after the change.

It's actually the most amusing thing I've experienced. I recently changed the RAM to 9133 or something, but I had to reset the CMOS because the system wouldn't start. Probably needs an upgrade when the 4000s are released.

Been working on the hardware problem with around five people over the past week, mostly involving RAM and BIOS issues. Usually it wasn’t settings changes that resolved things—it was just random resets or re-setting. The BIOS RAM training seems to behave poorly on these machines. My 1600/b450 started looping through memory after a year of stable 3200MHz, and resetting the CMOS twice fixed it. That’s a temporary fix.

I'm also experiencing FPS problems. My RTX 2060 is giving me around 100 FPS in Minecraft, but my CSGO stats are inconsistent and often cap at 60.

When the system reserves hardware at 8GB, it usually means you've lost your second RAM channel. Other users have reported this issue. After fixing the RAM, your FPS improved significantly.

I attempted the fix but ended up needing to reset CMOS for other fixes.

I had to adjust the settings myself, raised the DRAM voltage to 1.4 and set the SoC voltage near 1.15 to make it function properly
