No one knows if there are any places in the UK where people gather to play games together in teams. I can't join online, but I'm not sure about local social groups or meetups.

It's referred to as a lan. You can search online for one close to you or organize it with friends.

This link leads to a page on Facebook for Meltdown London, likely a business or community profile.

Search online for open LAN parties close to you. There should be many options available in the UK!

I participated in a LAN event at my local town hall (based in the UK). The site manager seemed surprised by my presence with switches, cables, monitors, and a slushie machine. (I might not have explained exactly what I was doing) We had around 35 attendees and achieved a modest profit. I wouldn’t repeat it due to the high stress involved. No one else found this useful, good luck!

It seems unlikely, as it only functioned because my German cousin was online (who handles networking), otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to set it up.

I’m skilled in networking and would just require a 40-switch board.
