That's not true. Each increment lasts for a week before it goes down. So if you receive a 7 day ban, your next ban will also be 7 days in the following week. But if you go a week without bans, you will be lowered a level to one bans. http://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2012/10/5292/ Personally I've never had more than a 30 minute ban. People who disconnect for whatever reason, their fault or not, should be punished for being unreliable to other players. If you received a 7 day ban, then you've been unreliable three times before. You should know you're unreliable and you should fix it. The only exception is if Steam servers go down and you cannot reconnect. But there is no reason for that to happen four times. I've gotten a 30 minute ban from this. It's kind of crappy, but if you're reliable it's not a big deal.
