I am making the transition from a Ryzen 2600x to a 3700x on my B450 Msi Gaming Plus (which is compatible). I attempted before but accidentally used the wrong motherboard BIOS, so nothing was working. Now I’ve discovered the right one and I’m wondering if it’s still valid. About four months ago, the BIOS that supports Ryzen 3rd generation was released—does that imply the newest version also works even without stating it? Link: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/...AMING-PLUS If the MFLASH functions and I swap to another CPU, will it still work?

The newest version supports compatibility. It launched in the BIOS at four months old and has been updated since.

Yes, if you flash the BIOS and install the new CPU, it should work properly.
