There’s limited information about using touchscreens on desktop OS X systems. These monitors may not be ideal for Macintosh use since OS X isn’t optimized for touch input. However, some apps function well with touch, so it might work reasonably. Check compatibility directly with your specific setup.

There are no OSX drivers available for touch screens, so the manufacturer would need to create them. I wouldn't bother wasting your time. I've used touchscreens with OSX before, but they aren't built for it and performance is poor. If you still want to try, check this article: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/689...0&tstart=0

You didn’t encounter major issues since OS X handles it well. The concern seems to stem from potential performance problems or touch precision rather than a fundamental flaw in the UI layout. Since you expect fullscreen apps to work smoothly with touch, any underlying lag or inaccuracy would be more noticeable.

It was a mix of both good and bad features. The screen was small—around 7 inches—but it didn’t support multi-touch, had slow performance, and wasn’t very reliable. Still, it was cool because it connected a Mac Mini to a touchscreen in my car, though it wasn’t consistently useful.
