Hello, your current setup has 8 gigabytes of 2400 MHz RAM with an i5 7600K processor, but it’s not sufficient for your needs. You were considering G.Skill RGB Memory with 16 GB and 3600 MHz CL18 version. However, many listings mention "For AMD," which might indicate compatibility only with AMD systems. It’s best to verify the manufacturer and specifications before purchasing to ensure they fit your hardware. If you need a different speed, consider checking options that match your processor and RAM type.

It should function with your setup, but check the approved RAM options on your motherboard's website for certainty. Additionally, noticeable gains aren't expected from faster RAM on 7th generation Intel processors.

The optimal option is 2x8GB DDR4 memory. The brand label for Intel or AMD generally doesn’t matter. Avoid using three modules. It won’t damage the system but may reduce performance. Combining 8 and 16GB sticks isn’t very beneficial.
