I own a new mobile - MSI Z790 A-MAX WiFi.
My current power supply is a Cooler master RS600 PCAR E3 (ATX 12V v2.3).
Is the PSU suitable for this mobo? It's an older unit, likely several years past its prime. Should I stick with it or upgrade?
The mobo features 8+8 pins for CPU power, but the PSU only has 4+4 pins labeled P2 and P3. How does that work?
Also, a 600W supply is more than enough for my requirements.

The cooler master RS600 PCAR E3 (ATX 12V v2.3) isn't exactly what I'd consider a standard power supply. I'd rather go with a custom-built one and stop there. What graphics card are you planning to use with this setup?

Please share your location, budget for the PSU, and preferred purchasing location. If you're using a compact case, let me know so we can explore suitable SFX options.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I am using internal graphics. No GPU. May not get one in the future either.
I have another PSU which is under repair and should be back in 1-2 weeks .

While I'm waiting for the PSU to be fixed, I would like to know if I can use the PSU mentioned in my previous post. This is just a temporary workaround while waiting for the newer and modular PSU.
I have a case which can fit an ATX board and i Live in India.

Is older than fifteen years and performed poorly even then? Extremely low quality, heavily regulated group, poor voltage regulation, two fake 12v rails, voltage switch, no APFC, missing crucial protection elements. Likely the worst Cooler Master PSU ever released. Avoid using it under any conditions.

Thank you for the idea.
I think I might need to skip using it.
What alternatives should I consider?
Where do I usually purchase these items? My budget is around 7000.

What about this option...?
MWE Gold 650 - V2 (Full Modular)
This model represents an advancement in Cooler Master's basic 80 PLUS Gold power products. The goal wasn't to launch something new, but to enhance an existing product for better consumer value. Changes made in this version of the MWG...

Sorry, I can't access that information.
MWE Gold V2 works properly. The issue was likely with the PSU, which the manufacturer would replace rather than repair.

I connected it directly to the mains, bypassing the UPS, and I didn't notice anything. It seems the spikes damaged both the power supply and the motherboard.
