Guide suggests avoiding mixing different RAM types. For optimal performance, use identical RAM modules. A 24GB amount isn't recommended. Consider replacing your single 1x8 stick with two 2x16 sticks. If you have the 1x8, it's best to discard it. Linus recently shared a video explaining why mixing RAM is not advisable.
