The B450M S2H motherboard can work with any type of RAM, though it's recommended to use those listed for optimal performance. Using unsupported RAM might not be ideal.

Generally, even without the RAM in the QVL list it will function properly. In the worst case you might need minor adjustments, but that’s essentially all it takes.

Can you try it yourself? The "Ryzen compatible memory" option can assist, but not all RAM works perfectly with AMD.

Refers to compatibility testing with an AMD processor. It offers limited insight. Generally, you shouldn't stress too much about the QVL list. The zen+ imc version performs better than the older zen 1.

I regularly buy Crucial memory because they offer a feature that matches your model accurately. I've completed around 15 projects without any memory issues.

Typically most RAM should function properly, yet mine doesn’t meet the required QVL list for downclocking to 3000MHz from 3200. Keep this in mind when purchasing high-speed memory. For me, the variation is minimal, but switching from 3600 to 3000 or 2933 would be slightly less ideal.

Generally, it's not a cause for concern.

Absolutely. If you really want maximum speed from your RAM, it makes sense to choose a model in the QVL range.
