I own an HP laptop with an i5-6200u processor, an HP 250 G4 notebook. It isn't working well with Windows 11 because the processor isn't compatible. Please help me with this issue. Thank you.

Choose either purchasing a fresh system or applying the method below and trust Windows won't delete it later.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! The processor is already soldered onto the motherboard, so you’ll need to get a more advanced laptop or one that comes pre-installed with Windows 11. There’s almost nothing you can do with your current setup to make it work with Windows 11. I strongly caution against trying workarounds—things can quickly go wrong and you might find yourself stuck if Microsoft later changes something essential. Stick to a single thread, focusing the discussion on the topic at hand.

I would be very cautious about maintaining an active W11 installation on unsupported devices unless Microsoft changes its policy officially. Windows 11 licenses tend to be quite costly when buying a genuine key. You can locate 8th generation laptops at a great discount today. These are the earliest models that officially support W11. It might be feasible to purchase a refurbished machine for a significantly lower price than the operating system itself. Be sure to verify that the product includes an OS license, as more affordable options increasingly state "no drive no OS" in their listings.

I suggest visiting Newegg and browsing their refurbished office PC area. Keep an eye out for third-party deals with very good ratings. It’s better to locate items shipped directly from Newegg, though you should still confirm the return policy and warranty details.
