Good morning everyone, I'm trying to figure this out. I have an old motherboard and a bunch of unused GPUs, so I built a cheap PC. I got an i5 2320 and a 4GB module that worked fine. Later, I ordered another 4GB stick and waited. A friend gave me two bundles of HDDs (HX313C9FRK2/8), but I didn’t get any updates. I tested both sticks one by one. One worked, but the board didn’t show any life when paired with the other. I thought it was dead, but when I connected the working stick with the faulty one, nothing happened. From what I’ve noticed, both sticks are 1333 MHz and from the same maker. Anyone know why?

Thank you for your feedback. It seems the second slot might be damaged. Let me know if you'd like help with troubleshooting steps.

Use the functional stick in the alternate position to check whether that slot is inactive.

Occasionally it functions, other times it fails... A fresh issue has emerged: connecting the two pins with my screwdriver causes the PC to start and then halt instantly, without any boot-up. Likely the motherboard is the cause. Appreciate the advice.
