Our Homenetwork setup seems a bit unusual, but I’m trying to keep things straightforward. I’m planning to use another ZYXEL GS2220-10 switch from the EU region with eight ports, hoping it will function as expected. This isn’t the main focus today—my real question is whether there’s a compatible glass fiber adapter for the active link, as mentioned in Transfer Info. Do any third-party options exist? Unfortunately, I haven’t found one for Zyxel yet.
It's likely ZYXEL doesn't maintain an approved list of SFPs, so most options should be usable. Gigabit SFPs are inexpensive since they're outdated, making them affordable—often just a few cents beyond postage.
