I'm pretty sure Zen+ can reach up to 2933MHz, though it usually handles 3200MHz without too many problems. Just stay below that limit, okay? The memory controller works decently, but don't push it too high.

It's not quite as bad as you make it out to be. It does have a pretty hard wall at 3200MHz, but getting to 3200MHz is fairly easy, and I have run kits not on the QVC at full speed with them without a problem. First gen Ryzen was worse, but the 2700x has a half decent controller at least.

The affordable kit seems not compatible with B450. It looks like I might need to hope it functions at the required frequency.

Sure thing. The chances of the kit not booting are really slim. I’d estimate a solid 85% chance of reaching 3200MHz. If you miss that frequency, you can easily step down to 2933MHz without a major hit in performance. These lower frequencies are dual-rank levels, and Ryzen often struggles to reach full speed there, so the worst case would be around 2666. You’ll lose some speed if you drop that low, but it’s not a high-probability situation.
