I own a ga-a320m-ds2 from Gigabyte and the site claims compatibility with 5th gen Ryzen using a f51g BIOS update. I purchased a Ryzen 5 5500 but faced issues—tried resetting the BIOS, removing CMOS, reinstalling the CPU, yet it still doesn’t work. Now I see a black screen or sometimes the new CPU gets installed incorrectly (ftpm/psp corrupted or ftpm/psp NV structured changes). I press y to reset or n to keep the previous setup. After clicking yes, it just restarts again. You can find more info at the Gigabyte support page for this model. Before this upgrade, I had a Ryzen 3 1200 with an A320 DS2 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and a 700W PSU running Windows 11.

I found this on a B550 motherboard while installing a 5900X. After trying "yes" it didn’t work, so I pressed NO. The system booted unstable, then stabilized after a few more tries.

Sure, I can look that up for you. Checking CPU-Z under the Motherboard section should confirm whether f51g was applied.
