I purchased a smaller townhouse and have faced some connectivity issues. The Wi-Fi doesn't work properly, and my TV loses the connection. I'm hoping to connect by plugging in but my router is in the living room while my PC works fine. Would it be better to run a cable through the attic to place the router in the living room?

I'm a bit unsure about what you're trying to achieve. Are you wondering if it's possible to run a cable through the attic between your router in the living room and another room with the TV? I believe you might be thinking differently, as the main challenge lies in navigating the difficult insulation and drilling the required holes.

I've just been working in my roof space for several days, moving insulation rolls and swapping cables. It's doable but quite challenging if you're trying to conceal Ethernet cables within cavity walls without ducts. You might want to consider a more affordable mesh WiFi system instead. While not as budget-friendly as doing it yourself, it's significantly simpler with the right equipment. Things worth looking into include the materials of the walls and floors and how far the router is from the TV. WiFi struggles to travel through thick granite walls and concrete floors—check out some reviews.

You could consider using Ethernet over power.
This method was effective in my home setup.
