Using my X5690 E.S., I can handle 4+4 and fill the rest with 2s—it works great. Don’t stress about getting fast RAM; you won’t get much benefit with an X series if you want memory speed improvements. For better performance, you’ll need a W series Xeon. Still, you should be able to reach around 1000MHz consistently if your hardware is solid.
okay,ill just go for 4+4+4+2+2+2,and probably stay with the x5650,save up $20 by not going for 5670 and add those money for my new mouse. I hope this ^ is smart because i really need a new mouse (planning to get a steelseries rival 3)
