Considering your setup, you're looking at two strong options: MSI PRO Z790-A D5 or MSI TOMAHAWK Z790 D5. Both deliver solid performance, but the choice depends on your priorities. The Z790-A offers a slightly more compact design and better thermal management, while the TOMAHAWK provides a more robust build and potentially better value for the price. Since you're focused on performance over cost differences, evaluating their benchmark scores and cooling efficiency will help you decide which fits your needs best. Let me know if you'd like a deeper comparison!

These seem to match the motherboards you mentioned. There are a few notable features like RAID support, front panel playback, and back panel connectors. TOMAHAWK offers both models with similar specifications.

The variations lie in the VRMs and the overall appearance. Both units should work with standard VRMs, particularly if airflow is present (like a rear case fan), though the Tomahawk stands out as the superior choice. I wouldn't invest extra for the Tomahawk unless you prefer its design. Both are decent, but the Tomahawk offers better aesthetics.

They both include bios flashback features, but hawk stands out with solid cmos on the back—worth the extra 30. The additional armour panel adds a nice aesthetic touch. I believe both models use a 16+1 vrm configuration. The breakdown video exists for the zoid, though the board’s tomahawk looks slightly improved. The clear cmos and a bit better UI make it worth the upgrade for me.
