Hello everyone!
I'm considering upgrading my laptop and am torn between two options priced at 1900 euros each:
MSI GP66 Leopard
15,6" QHD 165Hz display with RTX 3070 graphics, i7 11800H processor, 16 DDR4 GB RAM, 500 GB SSD, 60 Wh.
Lenovo Legion 5 Pro
16" WQHD 165Hz display with RTX 3070 graphics, Ryzen 7 5800H processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1 TB SSD, 80Wh.
I require a laptop for:
-
Programming and some CAD work. I spend a lot of time programming daily and occasionally use CAD.
-
Gaming. I mainly play competitive games, where high FPS is essential.
I often work near a power source, but feedback suggests battery life is also crucial.
Which one should I choose? Your opinions are welcome.

Hey LyiNkor,
I think the MSI is a good option. I own a MSI GE75 raider and think they provide excellent products. I also feel the intel core processor performs better with the nVidia graphics than a Ryzen 7 CPU does. The downside is that the MSI has about 500gb less SSD storage compared to the Lenovo, which is significant. Are you thinking of storing many games at once? I imagine we might both need a portable T5 Samsung SSD in the future.
