Absolutely, it's definitely the 10th generation if you're okay with that. The 9100F comes in 4C/4T while the i3 10100 is 4C/8T. I believe it might have a slight performance boost and includes an integrated GPU, which is handy for diagnostics.

Sounds reasonable and I believe it’s a good investment given the higher cost of the 9100f.
