Comparison of AMD and Intel iGPUs in terms of driver readiness and performance.
While the Intel ARC 140T (on the Core Ultra 5 125H) slightly outperforms the Radeon 780M in certain scenarios (especially with Vulkan), its performance with games that rely more on DirectX and OpenGL remains uncertain. It doesn't support XeSS frame generation. I'm unsure how much the AMD drivers would improve performance for AMD systems, given their reputation for solid iGPUs and broader experience.
There aren't many recent figures to rely on besides old videos and articles before the Intel driver updates that really boosted performance in newer titles. I believe the Intel iGPU could be quicker in DX9/10 and OpenGL, though the improvement might not exceed 1-10% unless you're playing specific games; I'm still unsure about that.
The AMD iGPU seems likely to offer better stability, particularly when using Linux for gaming. Still, I’d opt for the Intel iGPU if you intend to run newer games with upscaling, since the ARC 140T includes hardware features like DLSS on RTX 20-50 models, rather than relying solely on software solutions.
