These problems are likely linked to cooling concerns. Ignoring them may result in another CPU failing in the same way.

The cooler matches the size of what I already own. Problems began about three weeks after installing the new motherboard. The build has been running for roughly nine months now.

What cooler are you currently using? Which motherboard did you purchase when the problems began?

Upgrading your CPU and motherboard might lead you to this quiet cooling system from Bequiet!

The Fuma 2 is a dual tower model using 12 pipes, closely matching the NH-d15 design. Are you pushing your system to higher speeds?

I don't believe I'm still here, and I realize I didn't receive the best option available or the one I ought to have chosen.

I’d reset the CMOS instead of spending money on a machine. That will restore any BIOS settings you might have accidentally altered. After that, turn on XMP if it helps. If problems persist, reinstall Windows from your PC. Clean your drives with it—old chipset drivers from your old board could clash with the new one. You can also use HWinfo and check the sensors tab to identify the root cause. Is the issue thermal? Or is it related to power delivery? Speaking of power delivery, do you have both 4-pin and 8-pin EPS connections? I know the 4-pin isn’t necessary unless you’re doing heavy overclocking, but having it there is safe. At 5.0, some 9900K models draw just under 250 watts.

I’ve handled most of it already. Repeatedly. It’s annoying since I’ve already tried everything I can do for the CPU.
