The number is irrelevant—it's just a base clock. Achieving 36k in Cinebench indicates the processor runs around 4.8GHz across all cores during testing. The 7950x can push up to 5.25GHz on its 3D v-cache cores and about 5.925GHz on non-3D cores. To hit 37.5k, you'd need every core at 5GHz, which demands heavy cooling and significant voltage adjustments. Even then, the chip hits its maximum TDP around 155W.
I'm just wondering why the value appears as a base clock even though it's labeled that way. I'm concerned the manufacturer might have adjusted voltage or power limits to raise the base clock from 4.2GHz to 4.33GHz for a better CR23 score. Since all your PBO-enhanced settings still show 4.2GHz, do you think the store tweaked the base clock instead? TYSM
