They'll do very similar things, but using the 3600MHz Ryzen will be superior.

The performance gap is small, occasionally nonexistent, varying with your CPU and motherboard. The 3600 might not even work at all.

In games, performance isn't affected much by average frames per second. Upgrading to CL16 or CL18 won't boost your FPS. The main improvements will be in frame stability. Choosing lower latency memory can lead to a smoother experience and fewer harsh stutters. Reduced latency also enhances responsiveness when running demanding tasks like 3D modeling.
