I've been preparing a PC for my nephew's 12-year-old birthday. It needs to handle 1080p gaming. I have everything else ready—RTX 2060, power supply, RAM, SSD, cooler—but the missing parts are CPU and motherboard. I ordered an ASUS B560 Tuf Gaming with an i5 11400F, but they said it's out of stock and won't arrive on time. I'm wondering about the performance gap between the 10400F and 11400F if we use the same B560 board with faster RAM. Have anyone seen any comparisons?

Also consider that the initial M.2 port won't work with 10th generation processors because newer chips have more PCIe lanes. It might be better to opt for a 11th generation model, explore different stores, or look at alternative solutions if needed.

It's not "unusable". It's just going to bifurcate the x16 slot, but that won't matter with a 2060. There's still plenty of bandwidth.

The details I captured come from that particular motherboard maker's site. Here’s the relevant info highlighted: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Compon.../techspec/ This part was included in my post under the "reveal hidden contents" section. I enjoyed seeing the screenshots!

They seem to have misinterpreted and believed we were referring to the PCIe X16 expansion slot.

Got your feedback, everyone. The issue is resolved. I selected 11400 instead of 11400F. It was available and only a small extra cost.

Interesting choice! It seems the iGPU version offers better value compared to the standard model.
