Comparison between Swiftech H240-X and NZXT Kraken X62
Many people claim the Swiftech H240-X offers superior products. But as someone who owns an x62, I don’t have any issues now. At least so far. Initially, I had to switch between NZXT and get it to work. There were several beta versions for CAM. Now it’s running perfectly. I swapped the original fans for my Noctua A-14 (bought them for $40, couldn’t leave them unused). My temperatures stay below 70°C with Fixed mode. I’m always using an i7-6700K.

Many people claim the Swiftech H240-X offers superior components, but as an x62 owner I’m satisfied. Initially I needed help from NZXT for compatibility, and during beta testing for CAM it worked well. I swapped in my Noctua A-14 fans for $40, which kept temperatures under 70°C in Fixed mode while using an i7-6700K. That sounds promising—what exactly is Fixed mode?
Fixed mode is the balance between high fan speed and actually cooling your CPU. You also have silent mode, which will cause the fans to not run so fast, but also not cooling your CPU down. Then performance mode is the highest fan speed possible, but your CPU is cool...
Hey, I noticed this discussion. I actually own the H240-x and after about three years of use, one of the fans stopped working today. I'm planning to buy a Kraken x62 now. If you're considering swiftech, I'd prefer another model with metal threaded fittings (H240-x Presitege). When installing the H240-x, one of the tubes that was zip tied to the water block came loose, causing a significant loss of liquid. It lasted three years without any maintenance. I just want the x62 because it looks great, it's sealed, and I don't intend to expand water cooling with an AIO. Did you receive the x62?
