Hello,
I am eager to purchase a new laptop. My main tasks involve photo and video editing using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, along with production and programming work. I also have some interest in gaming, though not extensively.

I had a positive experience with thin and lightweight laptops, which is why I chose the Asus Vivobook Pro 14 X. It feels light, is easy to carry, and features a Ryzen 9 processor with an RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti graphics card (there are two versions available). The display offers excellent colour coverage.

My friend recommended the HP Omen because it has a better graphics card (RTX 3060) but a Ryzen 7 processor. I looked into the HP Omen and found it to be heavier and with potentially shorter battery life compared to the Vivobook. Its screen also doesn’t match the vibrant colours of the OLED display from the Vivobook.

Considering my needs, which laptop do you recommend?
Regarding performance, the RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti should suffice for gaming, especially at non-ultra settings. My main priority is content creation—photo and video editing, rendering, and programming (primarily in VS Code and Android Studio).

Please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you.

If you do alot of Color works, i prefer the Pro 14x, as the color accuracy was so impressive!
I did used my friend new laptop to do just a little sketch and do some edits, it was eyepleasing in terms of colors, while 3050 is not a very impressive gpu, the screen itself already doing great
😀
If you chose HP omen, the color accuracy wont be as much as the omen, as my other friend bought an HP Victus, it does different. well sure the Victus got 3060, but imo, if you do alot of color works, go for the 14x, 3050 wont age faster like 950m, 1050, or even 1650 mobile.

The differences between the RTX 3050 and 3050 Ti are not substantial in most cases.

well there is a noticable difference, but it's not as much as compared to 3060 mobile. but if the Ti only differ a little bit, then go for the Ti.
