So I've been on the fence about two motherboards from MSI, the MSI MAG z790 Tomahawk Wifi and the MSI Pro z790-a Wifi (priced the same where I can buy them) T his is for a modded build with a specific theme and the motherboard needs to be white or close to white (aka I would have to mod the Tomahawk with a paint job) From what I've seen the Tomahawk will have more Io ports while the Pro will have certain newer things like wifi 7 and some of the ports are faster although fewer Although this is a showcase build I wanna make the best bang for the buck choices so my question is which one would I be better off with considering what they both offer and that one of them would require more work to make it fit in with everything

Check if Gigabytes Elite Ax Ice matches the pricing of your local boards. It’s likely the most premium option available today, offering features that rival or exceed those of the Tomahawk at a similar cost.

Unfortunately, this item is quite expensive at the moment. It might be because of its unique appearance compared to others.

280€ is one of the choices I found in my market; these are the ones that seem most reasonable, so I went with them. Just seeking another perspective on the decision.

What country are you in? Prices can differ significantly by location.

I’ve made up my mind on these two options. Just need another take on which one is better, no extra details.

If you plan to overclock, the Tomahawk offers strong VRMs and a superior cooling system, making it simpler to modify. For tasks beyond gaming, the professional will handle everything effectively.

Thank you for your assistance. I won’t perform any overclocking. The disassembly of the Tomahawk appears quite straightforward for modification.
