Comparing two 32GB RAM sets versus a single 64GB option
Hello, forum members. I’m planning to purchase 64GB of RAM for my new workstation. I’m considering two options: buying a single 64GB kit from G.Skill TridentZ Neo DDR4-3600 C16: F4-3600C16Q-64GTZN or two 32GB kits (TridentZ Neo DDR4-3600 C16: F4-3600C16D-32GTZN). My concern is whether buying one kit versus the other makes a difference, especially since I can currently get the smaller 32GB model.
The two 32GB units may function together or they may not. They could belong to separate production runs with varying memory components, making full compatibility unlikely. For optimal results, choose the specific kit you require from the start.
Only a minimal increase is present, and it's usually hard to detect. However, there will still be a performance impact. Choose the more affordable option; the tighter specifications won't justify the higher price of the premium sticks.
