You're considering a PC build with the i7 3770. It costs about $191.08 to assemble around here. A newer CPU like the Ryzen 3200G would add roughly $345, but it lacks integrated graphics. You'd need an older LGA1155 board and DDR3 RAM, plus a separate graphics card. Upgrading later might be tricky. The 3200G offers flexibility—use it now or upgrade the graphics later.

Since the remaining components aren't available, I'd opt for an AM4 version. It provides a clear upgrade route.

I’d check Craigslist for a 2nd/3rd gen Optiplex or comparable, upgrade the CPU to an i7, and add a 750 Ti or similar GPU. If that brings the build cost near $150, I’d choose it. Otherwise, consider swapping the CPU on eBay (still around $50-60) and opt for something more recent.
