Go for the 8700 with single core turbo multi (46) on all cores then boost the clock to 103 for around 4.73ghz. It's still a solid speed, so a 9600k isn't necessary unless you're comfortable with higher voltages and a powerful cooler since they offer more OC potential. The 5.3ghz+ is likely when the 9600k actually outperforms the 8700 in single-thread tasks.
