Right now in Australia, the 7700x is more affordable at $500 compared to the i5 13600k which costs about $550. Decide based on your needs—price matters, but also consider performance and future upgrades.

The expenses for the remaining system components are not specified. It seems you're unsure about DDR5 adoption and whether the 7700x is your only option.

ddr 5 shows that the specifications I’ve looked at between the two models are actually cheaper by about $100 compared to Intel, excluding shipping—though some shipping options are free thanks to Amazon.

If it’s a $100 discount, choose AMD. The main concern I have is if your needs are mainly about productivity.
