Looking for a new chip that’s better than your Ryzen 3 1300. Your motherboard works with all Ryzen models, so you’re open to the latest Ryzen 5 or even Ryzen 3. You’ll also be using an RX 580 graphics card. Let me know if you need help picking the right one!
I’d pick the 2600 since both the 3200G and 2600 use the same Zen+ design, so single-core performance isn’t a big factor. It offers two extra cores and triple threads thanks to SMT. The 3200G’s GPU won’t fit well in your setup, making the 3200G less practical.
Absolutely, 2600 is definitely the right choice, and the X variant is only slightly pricier. When I purchased mine a while back, the gap between 2600 and 2600x was about £10, so I went with the X.
