Are you considering the extra cost for an RTX 4070 (8GB) model versus the RTX 4060 (8GB) in the ASUS ROG STRIX G16? Both have 115W TDP and 25W boost. For future-proofing a few years, is 32GB RAM (DDR5 4800MHz) really needed for gaming on this laptop? How long can you rely on 16GB RAM for high settings like 1080p or 1440p? Thanks!

It depends on the additional expenses. 8 gb of VRAM is coming up soon, so I wouldn't purchase any new GPU with less than 10 gb. The memory shouldn't be a problem. Without saying so, Hogwarts Legacy consumes about 20 gb of RAM on my PC today, which is a bit concerning...

There is a noticeable gap of around $300 between the RTX4060 and RTX4070 laptop versions. Most laptops with more than 10GB of VRAM are quite expensive. If I achieve solid gaming performance—about 40 FPS or higher at high settings in 1080p or 1440p—I’m satisfied. Can an RTX 4060 or 4070 with 8GB of VRAM meet that goal? I don’t want to commit to a desktop setup because I need to travel often and value mobility.

Decide between the RTX 4060 with 8GB or the RTX 4070 with 8GB and see which offers better value. Please suggest.
